Solution

The correct options are
B Calcium carbonate
C Nitrogen oxide
D Ammonium chloride
A carbon dioxide fire extinguisher contains sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) powder. Dilute sulphuric acid (H2SO4) is placed inside it in a glass capsule.

When the knob is pressed, the glass capsule breaks and the sulphuric acid in it comes in contact with sodium bicarbonate to release carbon dioxide gas.

2NaHCO3(s) + H2SO4(aq) Na2SO4(s) + 2CO2(g) + 2H2O(l)Sodium Sulphuric Sodium Carbon Waterbicarbonate acid sulphate dioxide
A carbon dioxide fire extinguisher generally contains sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) powder or potassium bicarbonate (KHCO3). It does not have chemical like calcium carbonate, nitrogen oxide and ammonium chloride as these chemicals do not have fire extinguishing property.
