A parallel beam of light is when all the rays of light present in the beam are parallel to one another. But the spotlight on a drama stage is a parallel beam of light as the light is supposed to be focussed onto a circular region on the stage. So, the bulbs in a spotlight are arranged in such a way to produce a parallel beam of light.
