Which of the following cell gives rise to the male gametes in flowering plants?
Generative Nucleus
The pollen grain contains two nuclei - the generative nucleus and the tube nucleus. The pollen tube develops from the pollen that falls on the stigma and grows towards the ovary. The nucleus in the pollen also enters the pollen tube. The generative nucleus divides in the pollen tube to produce two male gametes and the tube nucleus disintegrates.
