Solution

The correct option is C Sertoli cells
Sperms are the male gametes that are produced in the seminiferous tubules of the testis.

The inner lining of the seminiferous tubule contains two types of cells namely, spermatogonia (male germ cells) and sertoli cells.

The male germ cells produce sperms/spermatozoa.

Sertoli cells provide nourishment to the male germ cells and developing sperms. Hence they are also referred to as ‘nurse cells’.

Leydig cells or interstitial cells are present outside the seminiferous tubules, they synthesize and secrete testicular hormones.
