C4 -plants have an alternative CO2 fixation pathway, called as Hatch and Slack cycle. These plants have Kranz anatomy in leaf, where vascular bundles are surrounded by bundle sheath.
In C4 cycle light reaction occurs in, mesophyll chloroplast by PEP carboxylaes and the assimilation of CO2 takes place in, i.e., dark phase in bundle sheath chloroplast by Rubisco.
