We know that phenols show keto-show keto - enol tautomerism and the stability of the keto form depends upon the number of keto group (more the number of keto groups, higher will be stability of the keto tautomer). Thus trihydric phenols should exist in keto form in considerable amount but only when the two keto groups are not on adjacent carbon atoms which decreases stability due to positive charge on adjacent carbon atoms.
