Solution

The correct option is D CH4
Smog is a mixture of smoke and fog. It is one of an example of air pollution. Smog is of two types,
1. Classical smog
2. Photochemical smog
Classical smog is the mixture of smoke, fog and SO2 whereas, photochemical smog is formed by action of sunlight on unsaturated hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides.
The NO2 from car exhaust and factories undergoes photochemical reaction. Thus, nitrogen oxides split into nitric oxide and nascent oxygen.
NO2(g)hνNO(g)+O(g)
Nascent oxygen reacts with O2 to forms ozone.
O(g)+O2(g)O3(g)
The formed ozone is a strong oxidising agent and it oxidise NO to NO2
NO(g)+O3(g)NO2(g)+O2(g)

Thus, photochemical smog consists mainly of O3 and NO2.
Hence (b),(c),(d) are the correct options.
