A)1g O2

B)1g O-atom

C)1g O3

D)All have same

Solution

Let us calculate the number of atoms in each case:

For O

1 mol = 16 g ( at wt of O)

So, in 1g = (1/16) mol = 0.0625

No. of atoms = 0.0625 x (6.023x10^23) = 3.76x10^22

Similarly for O2

1 mol of O2= 32g (O2 being diatomic)

1g = (1/32) = 0.0313

No of atoms = 0.0313 x (6.023x10^23) x 2 (O2being diatomic)

= 3.76x10^22

and for O3

1 mol of O3= 48g (O3 being triatomic)

1g = (1/48) = 0.0208

No of atoms = 0.0208 x (6.023x10^23) x 3 (O3being triatomic)

= 3.76x10^22
option d is correct
