Which of the following describes oscillatory motion?
Both A and C
In oscillatory motion an object moves to and fro about a mean position. The bob of the pendulum moves to and fro along the same path and passes through the mean position. This shows the oscillatory motion of the pendulum. One tuning fork forces another tuning fork into vibrational motion at the same natural frequency. The two forks are connected by the surrounding air particles. As the air particles surrounding the first fork starts vibrating, the pressure waves that it creates starts to impinge at a periodic rate upon the second tuning fork. This is how tuning fork shows oscillatory motion.
