Solution

The correct options are
C NaCl
D NaNO3
The reaction of sodium hydroxide with water is highly exothermic. Hence sodium hydroxide, on dissolution in water, liberates large amount of heat. Similarly sodium carbonate dissolves in water along with liberation of heat. However the dissolution of sodium nitrate in water is endothermic. Heat is absorbed during process. The dissolution of NaCl in water is slightly endothermic.
