Solution

The correct option is C Hydrogen, lithium, and sodium
1) Atomic masses of Ca = 40, Ba = 137,
Sr = 88
We know that:
Atomic mass of 2nd element= Atomic mass of 1st+Atomic mass of 3rd2
Here, Atomic mass of Ca + Atomic mass of Ba2
= 137+402 =88.5 ~ 88 = the atomic mass of Sr
Hence, it is Dobereiner's triad.

2) Atomic masses of Cl =35, I =127, Atomic mass of Br =80
Atomic mass of Cl + Atomic mass of I2
= 35+1272 = 81= the atomic mass of Br
Hence, it is a Dobereiner's triad.

3) Atomic masses of H =1 , Li =6.9, Na =22
Atomic wt. of H + Atomic wt of Li2Atomic mass of Na
Hence, it is not a Dobereiner's triad.

4) Atomic masses of Li =6.9, Na =23, K =39
Atomic mass of P+ Atomic mass of Nb2Atomic mass of V
Hence, it is not a Dobereiner's triad.
