Solution

The correct options are
A Acetic acid.
C propionic acid.
The reaction of iodine and base with methyl ketones is called the "iodoform test". It is used to probe the presence of a methyl ketone. Carboxylic acids react as acid with the base and hence do not form CI3 because the C=O in the COOH has delocalisation over the group. Thus, carboxylic acids (options A and D) do not give iodoform test.
