Solution

The correct option is C Seta
The bryophyte life cycle consists of alternating generations between the haploid gametophyte and the diploid sporophyte. Gametophytic phase is independent and dominant while sporophytic phase is dependent on gametophyte.

Gemma, protonema and rhizoid are parts of gametophyte. Rhizoid is the root like structure of bryophytes. Gemma is a specialised structure present on the gametophyte thallus of liverworts. Protonema is a creeping, green, branched and frequently filamentous structure in the gametophytic phase of mosses.

Seta is a sporophytic structure of mosses and liverworts which can be referred as stalk in supporting the capsule.
