With the events of World War 1 resulting in high prices of commodities, drought and epidemics, the Rowlatt Act, the Jallianwalla Bagh massacre, and the Khilafat issue, every segment of the Indian society was seething with discontent, and wanted to take some action against British oppression. Thus, in December 1920, the Non-Cooperation Movement was adopted at the Nagpur session of Congress.
