Solution
The correct option is A Mesosomes
In many bacteria especially, Gram-positive bacteria, the plasma membrane becomes invaginated and folded to form structures called as mesosomes. The mesosomes were formerly thought to be equivalent to mitochondria of eukaryotic cells. They were believed to be the centres of respiratory activity. However, it was shown that mesosome are not analogous to mitochondria as they do not have an outer membrane. Moreover, respiratory enzymes have been shown to occur throughout the plasma membrane.
Lomasomes are found in some fungi especially during spore formation. They appear to be invaginations of the plasma membrane. It is suggested that plasma lemmasomes become lomasomes during cell wall synthesis.
Chloroplasts are eukaryotic cell organelles which carry out the process of photosynthesis.
Thylakoid membranes are a part of chloroplast structure and carry out the light reaction of photosynthesis in higher plants. Thus, the correct answer is option A.
