Right to Equality

  • Each and every citizen will be given equal protection under the laws of the land.
  • No citizen is above the law.
  • The foundation of democracy is the rule of law.
  • Irrespective of the status of the person, laws are applicable in the same manner to everyone.
  • Laws are the same for ordinary citizens, government official, or political leaders.

Right to Freedom

  • Trafficking of human beings is prohibited by the Constitution. Buying or Selling human beings, especially women for immoral activities is the meaning of trafficking.
  • Begar in any form or forced labour is also prohibited by our Constitution.

Cultural and Educational Rights

  • Minorities are guaranteed their educational and cultural rights by the Constitution.
  • Any section of citizens having a unique culture or language have the right to conserve it.

Right to Freedom of Religion

  • Every citizen has the right to propagate, practice or profess the religion of his or her choice.
  • Right to religion does not give rights to convert a person into his religion through allurement, inducement, fraud, or by force.

Right to Constitutional Remedies

  • The fundamental rights in the Constitution can be enforced, hence they are very important.
  • Constitution gives us the right to seek the enforcement of the fundamental rights,
  • Right to Constitutional Remedies means we have a right to seek the enforcement of the above mentioned rights.
  • If our fundamental rights are violated by the Government or private bodies or by fellow citizens, then we have the right to approach the High Courts or Supreme Court to seek remedy for the violation.
