Which of the following gases is not a greenhouse gas?
Carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide is not a greenhouse gas. Methane, carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone and water vapour gases are the greenhouse gases. When radiation from the sun strike the earth and are reflected back, the gases present in earth atmospheres of the earth like carbon dioxide methane and water vapour absorb heat energy and do not let the radiation go back. As a result, the temperature of the earth increases. The earth is warmer because the greenhouse gases do not prevent the escape of heat.
