For zero order reaction,

rate =d[A]dt=k

With time, rate remains constant until the reactant is consumed, then the rate falls to zero nearly as there is no more reactant left!

On integrating, we get

[A] = –kt + C . . . .(i)

when, t = 0, [A] = [A]0

On putting the value of ‘C’ in Eq. (i)

[A] = –kt + [A]0

A graph of [A] Vs t is a straight line with slope = – k

Here, [A] = concentration of reactant.
