The correct option is C Number of radial nodes = n−l−1
where, n = principal quantum number l = azimuthal quantumnumber
For 4d orbital, n = 4 and l = 2
Hence, the number of radial nodes = 4−2−1 = 1
Also, at the nucleus i.e. r = 0, the value of R2 is zero for d orbital. So, the graph between R2 versus r will start from zero and have minimum electron density at one place.
