Fruit-peels, cake and lime-juice
Cake, wood and grass
An item is biodegradable if it can be degraded by biological processes. Degradation by biological processes involves live organisms such as bacteria or fungi. Thus, biodegradable items means items which can be degraded by using live organisms. Fruit peels, cake, lime juice, wood, grass, flowers, leather, are all of biological origin and hence they are biodegradable. Glass is degradable but not by biological processes. Glass usually degrades by mechanical processes. Plastic is a polymer of the substances obtained from petroleum products. It is totally non-biodegradable.
