Rhinoceros are the largest land mammals after the elephant. There are five species of rhinoceros, two African and three Asian. The African species are the white and black rhinoceros. Both have two horns. Asian rhinoceroses include the Indian or Great one horned rhinoceros and the Javan, each with one horn, and the Sumatran, which has two. In India only one horned Rhinoceros are found i.e., rhinoceros unicornis in Assam and Bengal states.
