Open in App
Solution

Asexual mode of reproduction - Here only one parent is involved in the production of offspring.
Fungi reproduces asexually in the following methods:

1. Binary fission - A single parent grows to twice its size and then splits equally to form 2 equal daughter cells. These cells grow to attain the size of the parent cell. Example : Yeast.

2. Budding - The parent organism develops a small outgrowth, known as the bud. This bud grows and once it reaches a sufficient size, it then separates to exist independently. Example : Yeast.

3, Fragmentation - The body of the organism accidentally or deliberately breaks into smaller fragments. And each of these fragments can grow into a new individual. Example : Rhizopus.
