Adjacent glucose molecules are joined by $\beta 1\to 4$ linkage. Pectin is a mucopolysaccharide found in cell wall. It is made up of galactose, galacturonic acid and arabinose. Lignin is a heterogeneous phenyl propane polymer formed by condensation of coumaryl, coniferyl and sinapyl alcohol.
