(A) A motion which covers equal distance in equal interval of time is called a Uniform motion. When a body moves in a circle, it is called circular motion. The direction of motion in circular path continually changes. An athlete running on the circular path with constant speed has changing velocity since the direction of motion is changing. When the body moves in a circular path with uniform speed, it is called uniform circular motion. It is possible for a body to move in a circular path with uniform speed as long as it is traveling equal distances in equal interval of time, but the velocity cannot be uniform since the direction of motion is continually changing.
