Solution

The correct option is C Lead storage cell
Electrochemical cells used for conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy are called batteries.
There are two types of batteries:
1. Primary battery
2. Secondary battery

Primary battery:
Batteries where the chemical energy is converted into electrical energy as long as the chemical components are active.

Once the active chemical components are used up it becomes dead and cannot be reused again.
It cannot to recharged again for reusing.

Examples of Primary battery are Dry cell or Leclanche cell and Mercury cells.

Secondary battery:
In these batteries, the redox reaction that converts chemical energy into electrical energy can be reversed by passage of current.
After its use, they can be recharged by passing current through it in the opposite direction and can be used again.
Lead storage cell and Nickel-cadmium cell are examples of secondary batteries.
