Instinctual behaviour is a type of behaviour that need not be learned. Instincts are present by birth. It is an automatic, immediate response to a particular stimulus. Reflexes are examples of instincts.
Humans have instincts as that of animals. But the human instincts can be controlled. The immediate response can be stopped to certain extent.
E.g., When teacher punishes a student, he/she can react back in a similar way but the student doesn't do so. The student controls the instinct to behave in a good mannered way.
