Option D is the correct answer.
In this reaction CH3COOH (acetic acid) reacts with a base which has OH, to form water and salt. Let us suppose that the metal atom attached to OH is Na, that is, the base is NaOH. Acid base neutralization reaction takes place when Acetic acid reacts with base (NaOH) to give water and Sodium acetate salt.
The acid base neutralization reaction can be written as-
CH3COOH + NaOH = H2O + CH3COONa
