Myosin is a motor molecule that works to move the cell. This will result in a contraction and expansion movement. The myosin molecule has two heads which can move forward and backward and binds to ATP molecule and an actin binding site. And so they are the ATP - dependent motor protein.
Two regulatory proteins are associated with actin. Tropomyosin extends over and covers binding sites on actin subunits. Troponin, a complex of three proteins, uncovers binding sites when bound to calcium.So actin molecule is calcium dependent.
