Pure substances are the ones that are made up of one type of particles only. ​

Air is made up of various components such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapours and a lot of dust particles. Hence, air is a mixture and not a pure substance.

Distilled water is a pure substance because it contains only molecules of water in it.

Soft drinks are made up of water with carbon dioxide gas dissolved in it. As a result, it is not a pure substance. ​

Also, milk is made up of various substances such as fat, proteins, water and hence is not pure as well.
