Angiosperms are a major division of kingdom Plantae, which make up the majority of all plants on Earth. The characeteristic feature of angiosperms is it's ability to produce seeds encased in “fruits". Corn is an angiosperm. Cycads, ginkgo, pine, fir, spruce, and cedar belong to gymnosperms. Gymnosperms produce naked seeds which are not covered by fruits.
