Salivary glands, liver and pancreas secrete digestive juices that help in the breakdown of complex food substances into simpler ones. They are known as the digestive glands. For example, the liver has multiple functions but its main function within the digestive system is to process the nutrients absorbed from the small intestine. Bile secreted from the liver into the small intestine also plays an important role in digesting fats. Whereas, lungs are not digestive glands, they do not secret any digestive juices.
