Which of the following is/are function(s) of golgi apparatus?
Modifies and packages proteins
processing, packaging and transport of materials for secretions
The golgi apparatus receives simple proteins from the ER. It modifies these proteins to match the organism’s needs. The golgi apparatus gathers simple molecules and combines them to make molecules that are more complex. It then takes those big molecules, packages them in vesicles, and either store them for later use or sends them out of the cell. This is why the golgi apparatus is often referred to as the “post office of the cell.”
