The correct option is D All of the above
The lgE antibodies are the allergic antibodies which release specific chemicals for each type of allergen and cause allergic response.
1. When a pollen grain, which is a foreign particle, enters the nasal cavity, it comes in contact with the dendritic cells.
2. The dendritic cell captures the antigen and develops hair-like projections to attain maturity. This mature dendritic cell now enters the lymph vessel.
3. Mature dendritic cells enter the lymph vessel on the epithelial layer and deliver the antigen to the helper T cell.
4. As a result, the helper T cell gets activated and begins to secrete cytokines. These cytokine molecules trigger the B cells to release IgE antibodies.
5. IgE antibodies move out of the lymph vessel, and bind to the mast cells. Mast cells armed with lgE antibodies are exposed to the same antigen, become activated, and release inflammatory chemicals like histamine.
6. Histamine gets absorbed by the lining epithelial cells, which become inflamed. This inflammatory reaction is known as an allergy. This reaction usually causes symptoms in the nose, lungs, throat, sinuses, ears, lining of the stomach or on the skin.which is the allergic response.
