Which of the following is/are responsible for refraction and focusing?
Ciliary muscles
Lens
Like a camera, the human eye focuses light coming from objects onto the retina to produce sharp images. Light rays reflecting from distant objects are focused on the retina after they pass through the cornea, aqueous humour, the lens and finally the vitreous humour. The contraction and relaxation of ciliary muscles plays a major role in changing the curvature of the lens.
