Which of the following is/are the possible factor(s) that could come into play when the government allows the clearing the forest of a particular area for setting up any big industry?
  1. Many local people lose their land.
  2. Local people are given chance to become managers of the upcoming projects.
  3. The government does not give local people anything as compensation for losing their land.
  4. Decrease in trees and animal space.

Solution

The correct options are
A Many local people lose their land.
D Decrease in trees and animal space.
Whenever any industrial project comes, government generally do think of some new shelters for the locals of those regions but, sometimes the government doesn't stand on their own promises. At times, the locals forced to move, and their forest area is wiped off. In some case, they do get jobs in the company which is about to come but not necessarily at the managerial level. The jobs are taken majorly by the outsiders.
