Solution

The correct option is D All of above
Surge flood, river flood, and surface flood are all the types of flood.

1. Surge flood - A storm surge, storm flood, tidal surge, or storm tide is a coastal flood or tsunami-like phenomenon of rising water, commonly associated with low-pressure weather systems (such as tropical cyclones and strong extratropical cyclones). Most casualties during tropical cyclones occur as the result of storm surges.

2. River flood - A flood occurs when a river or stream overflows its banks. Seasonal floods are the norm in many rivers, for example when spring rains or snowmelt increase the flow. During a flood, the channel is completely filled and water moves onto the floodplain and slows down.

3. Surface flood - Surface water flooding is caused when the volume of rainwater falling does not drain away through the existing drainage systems or soak into the ground, but lies on or flows over the ground instead. This type of flooding is usually short-lived and associated with heavy downpours of rain, thunderstorms, etc.

Hence, the correct answer is option (D).
