Family planning means to reduce the birth rate so that the increase in population can be checked. Methods of family planning prevent the fertilization of the ovum by the sperm. Various methods of family planning are as follows: contraceptives, intra-uterine devices, tubectomy, and vasectomy. The contraceptives such as condoms for males, contraceptive pills, intra-uterine device (loop and copper- T) for females are used to avoid pregnancy.
