As BF3 is a Lewis acid and NH3 is a Lewis base, NH3 donates its lone pair to BF3 and forms a dipolar bond. NH3 gets a positive formal charge and BF3 gets a negative formal charge and adduct is formed.

BF3+NH3F3BNH3(adduct)

In (1), BF3 is accepting the lone pair while in (2), NH3 is accepting the lone pair.

Thus, (1) is correct and (2) is incorrect.
