Solution

The correct option is A BF3
The species of which the central atom's octet is not complete are termed as electron deficient species.
CaCl2 is ionic compound
CaCl2[Ca2+]+2[Cl]
Both Ca2+ & Cl have complete octet
CaCl2 is not electron deficient
Generally compounds of group 13 elements are electron deficient.
For example BCl3,AlCl3 etc
BF3 is electron deficient species as B-atom has only 6 electrons around.
Al2Cl6 is dimerised form of AlCl3
In this case, dimerisation takes place to complete the octet.
CCl4 is also electron precise as C atom has it's octet complete.
