For the easy formation of ionic compound ( halides ) , the 2 conditions are -
1.
ionization energy of the cation should be minimum
2. electron gain enthalpy of the anion should be minimum.
Among the cations K+ and Ca2+, K+ has minimum ionization energy.
Among the anions bromide, chloride and iodide, iodide has minimum electron gain enthalpy.
The answer is - 4) potassium iodide
