An absolute scale is that in which , measurement starts from a minimum or zero point and which progresses in only one direction. For temperature measurement , Kelvin (related to Celsius scale) and Rankine (related to Fahrenheit scale) scales are absolute temperature scales .As they starts from a point at which molecular motion ceases ,absolute zero point .
