Solution

The correct option is D Holozoic
Hetrotrophs are organisms that cannot manufacture their own food and obtain their nutrition from other organisms.

Parasites are heterotrophs that live in or on other "host" organism and depend on that host for food. This usually involves harming the host.

Saprotrophs are heterotrophs that depend on dead and decaying matter for their food.

Majority of the fungi are saprotrophic and hence also heterotrophic. There are some fungi that are parasitic and cause diseases in animals and plants. Eg. Aspergillus sp. causes infections in humans.

Holozoic nutrition is a type of heterotrophic nutrition where an organism ingests some food, processes and digests the food, the digested food is absorbed and assimilated by the body cells. The undigested food is egested out of the body. Fungi do not exhibit this type of nutrition.
