Solution
The correct option is C Chemical method Natural methods of birth control rely on the chances that avoid the meeting of the sperm and the ovum.
Periodic abstinence is a method where the couple avoids coitus from day 10-17 because these are considered as the most fertile days' and the chances of pregnancy are the most in this.
Coitus interruptus is a method where the male partner withdraws his penis just before ejaculation so that the semen does not enter inside the vagina.
Lactational amenorrhea is a method which is based on the fact that till the time the mother feeds the baby the menstrual cycle does not occur and the pregnancy chances are less.
But chemical method contain chemicals which damage the cell walls of sperm and alter the pH in the vagina. This makes it hard for sperm to swim and survive and stops them from moving up into the uterus and ultimately reaching an egg to fertilise. And this prevents fertilization.
Therefore only option c is not the natural method of family planning.
