Solution

The correct option is B Frictional force
The motion of the moon around the earth (circular motion) is due to the centripetal force. This centripetal force is provided by the gravitational force of attraction due to the earth. If there were no such force, the satellite would pursue a uniform straight line motion. A tangential speed is necessary for the circular motion to occur otherwise the moon would fall to the earth. Frictional force has nothing to do for keeping a satellite in its orbit.
