Option (b) is NOT the goal of the mission; hence, it is the correct answer. By 2022 though, a goal of reducing child stunting to 25 per cent has been laid. The reductions are targeted for under-nutrition; anemia and low birth weights are 2 per cent, 3 per cent and 2 per cent per annum respectively. The program will cover all states and districts in a phased manner. The total outlay for the nutrition mission has been set at over Rs. 9,000 crores for a period of three years.
