Solution

The correct option is B President being directly elected by the people
In India there exist Parliamentary form of government. This form of government is also known as cabinet government or responsible government. The Constitution of India promotes separation of power between the organs of the government, i.e., the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. In India the Prime Minister is the leader of the party which secures highest number of seats in the Lok Sabha. This is done by way of elections held in every 5 years. Whereas, in case of appointment of President, he is not directly elected by the people but by members of electoral college.
