Kite is not a parallelogram since, the opposite sides are not parallel.

A parallelogram is a 4 sides closed polygon. Hence it is a quadrilateral.

Square, rectangle and rhombus are quadrilaterals with opposite sides parallel and equal. Hence, they are parallelograms.
