Which of the following is safe to do during lightning?
Crouching in a large building or inside home
When a thunderstorm threatens, we should get inside a home or large building. We should not stand underneath a natural lightning rod such as a tall tree with branches, an isolated tree which attracts the lightning and is prone to be hit. We should also stay away from wire fences, clotheslines, metal pipes, rails and other metallic paths which could carry lightning to you from some distance away. Inside a home, we should avoid using the telephone. We should also avoid standing in small isolated sheds or other small structures in open areas.
