Solution
The correct option is B Oesophagus, small intestine, large intestine, rectum
Rabbits are herbivorous and they feed on plants. The food taken will be moved through the alimentary canal starting from buccal cavity to anus. The alimentary canal comprises of the buccal cavity and the teeth, where the food is masticated and physically broken down into smaller particles, which then travel through a tubular structure known as the oesophagus, leading into the stomach followed by the small intestine. At the junction of the small and the large intestine is a thin-walled sac known as caecum, which is where the digestion of cellulose from the plant-based food take place by the action of bacteria. The remanents then moves into the the large intestine comprising of the rectum and the colon. The rectum then finally opens into the anus.
