Solution

The correct option is B Pia mater
The meninges is composed of three layers - pia mater, arachnoid and dura mater. The pia mater is the innermost layer of the meninges which is highly vascularized and contains networks of capillaries that nourish the brain. The dura mater is a fibrous membrane and is not supplied with blood capillaries.

The cerebrum which is the part of the forbrain is composed of 2 layers, the outermost layer is called the grey matter and the inner layer is called white matter.
